All-On-Four

The "All-on-Four" device is an attractive colution to patients wanting to get rid of their dentures or for people with failing teeth that are in need of a full upper and/or lower restoration. This procedure requires the placement of at least four dental implants per jaw to support a fully customized set of replacement teeth. The surgical portion of the "All-on-Four" treatment is completed while the patient is comfortably asleep using sedation dentistry. The best part is that this procedure is virtually painless and the patient receives a full set of replacement teeth in just 24 hours.

Why choose All-on-Four?
Modern implant-based dentistry provides a solution to the edentulous or “toothless” patient that traditional dentures have never been able to deliver. They provide immediate functionality with a substantially increased quality of life. This is accomplished by using a prosthesis held solidly in place by four dental implants (the "All-on-Four" Procedure). The implant supported prosthesis provides the comfort and security a patient is likely to be missing with removable dentures, but, more importantly, also helps to preserve bone in the jaw.

The "All-on-Four" procedure helps to eliminate the day-to-day frustrations and discomforts of dentures, and helps patients to enjoy the dietary freedom of those with natural teeth once again. It is the most effective and sophisticated solution there is for tooth loss.

The Procedure
Traditional approaches to restoring a full arch of teeth usually involved bone grafts, six or more implants, and as many as 18 months of treatment. Many times, a patient often would be without any teeth or would have to wear an ill-fitting temporary dentures for more than a year. With the All-on-four Dental Implant Procedure, the patient has one or two visits to our office to allow the cosmetic dentist and oral surgeon to gather information for a treatment plan (e.g., CAT scan, X-rays, impressions, photos) and then the patient is scheduled for surgery. On the day of surgery, teeth are extracted if necessary, implants are placed and the new teeth are fitted and adjusted all within 24 hours.

The patient will return to the office for occasional check-ups over the next several months to ensure that everything is healing properly and the temporary device is fitting well. It takes approximately 6 months for the gums to fully heal and for the implants to fully integrate with the patient’s natural bone. Once this level of healing has occurred, we will take new impressions of the patient's mouth and prepare a final permanent set of teeth that will be adjusted to a perfect fit. This helps provide maximum support, beauty, and function to the patient. It also helps ensure longevity of the implants and the All-on-Four device.
