What is Propel?

The Propel System is a simple procedure that can be performed in our office in conjunction with your orthodontic visits. The Propel System uses a patented system to stimulate the jaw bones leading to faster bone remodeling with a high level of predictability. The Propel System can be used with many of the most popular braces systems, including Six Month Smiles and Invisalign in order to move teeth much faster than traditional treatments.

Does Propel hurt?
Great question! Patients report feeling little to no pain during or after the Propel procedure. Many patients find that the use of local anesthetic during treatment and the use of mild pain reliever (acetaminophen) after treatment makes Propel a pretty painless process. The goal of Propel is to move teeth as quickly, and painlessly as possible!

Is Propel more expensive than traditional treatment?
The total cost of your orthodontic treatment will vary, based upon your own unique needs and the condition of your teeth. Propel can be added to any orthodontic treatment plan for an additional fee. Most of our Propel patients will tell you that the cost of finishing treatment sooner is completely worth the nominal fee incurred by adding Propel.
